Annet lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is single with four children, two of whom currently attend school. She is also looking after her two sisters and brother.
She has been selling charcoal from her home at retail for 10 years and works seven days a week. She also does some farming as another source of income.
She has requested a loan of UGX 300,000 from MCDT- SACCO to buy more sacks of charcoal to sell. She generates additional income by selling used clothes . Her challenges include transportation and seasonality. Her dream is to buy a lorry so that she can stop renting other people's vehicles. She joined MCDT because it is easy to become a member. She stays in her own house without access to either electricity or piped water. Her major monthly expenses are school fees and food.
