Robinah lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is single with five children, four of whom currently attend school. She is not looking after any other member of the family.
She has been selling cooked food for five years and works four days a week. She has no other source of income.
She has requested a loan of 600,000 UGX from MCDT- SACCO to buy rice, flour, cooking oil, peas, meat, charcoal and salt. Her challenges include transportation and defaulters. Her dream is to own a fully stocked restaurant. She joined MCDT because it is easy to become a member. She stays in her own house, which lacks access to both electricity and piped water. Her major monthly expenses are school fees.
