Hanifah lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with six children, four of whom attend school. She is not looking after any other family member.
She has been selling spare parts for motorcycles in a shop at retail for the last four years, working six days a week. She does not have any other source of income.
She has requested a loan of UShs 2,000,000 from MCDT- SACCO to enable her to buy more shock absorbers, lights, batteries, and spikes for sale. Her challenges include transportation and thieves. Her dream is to have a repair workshop and also to own a fully stocked spare parts shop. She joined MCDT because it was relatively easy to join with low loan interest. She lives in her husband`s house with access to electricity but no piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees.
