Jean Marie lives in St. Marc, Haiti and works as a doctor. He is a distributor for EarthSpark products and has about 15 retailers throughout the Artibonite department. He is looking to expand his business and take on new retailers. A Kiva loan will help him take advantage of bulk prices to really boost his business. He mainly sells kerosene stoves, an alternative to the charcoal stoves which are common in Haiti and lead to deforestation, and small solar lights. He will also sell larger solar home systems that can light an entire home as well as power radios and charge mobile phones. He wanted to become an EarthSpark entrepreneur so that he could earn money and help protect the environment and is eager to continue.
