The “PERLAS BLANCAS” community association is beginning its seventh cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Collpani center. The group is made up of eleven members and directed by a board of directors, where Olga serves as president. The members have various types of small businesses, including: sweater knitting, bedspreads and wall hangings, embroidering clothing, cell phone sales, ceramic work, macramé, fruit sales, and skirt making.


This loan will benefit the small businesses. Olga, who is beginning her third year with Pro Mujer, and having joined upon invitation from another member, has two macramé businesses. She learned this art from her mother who worked in this business for years. She will use the money from this loan to buy fabric from distributers in El Alto. She will then make and sell items from her point of sale. In this way she can generate income with which to support her household. She lives with her common law husband and has two children.


When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the health and credit training and customer service.

La A.C. “PERLAS BLANCAS” iniciará el séptimo ciclo en Pro Mujer, como parte del Centro Focal de Collpani, está compuesta por once integrantes y está dirigida por una mesa directiva donde la señora Olga es la Presidenta. Los negocios que las integrantes de la asociación comunal llevan adelante son variados entre ellos existen: tejido de chompas, tejido de camas y mantas, bordado de ropa, venta de celulares, trabajo de cerámica nacimiento, macramé, bordado de ropa de moreno, venta de fruta, producción de polleras.

El crédito que sacaran beneficiara a pequeñas microempresarias con distintos rubros, donde la señora Olga es parte integrante, ella indica que es el tercer año que integra Pro Mujer, ingresando por invitación de una familiar que es socia de la institución. En la actualidad ella tiene dos negocios de tejido de macramé, aprendiendo esta habilidad de su madre, ya que ella trabajaba hace años en este negocio.

El crédito que ahora sacará es para el aumento de capital (compra de tela) que adquirirá de las tiendas distribuidoras de la ciudad de El Alto, posteriormente a la elaboración lo comercializará en su espacio de venta. Esta forma de trabajo le permite generar recursos para apoyar en lo posible a su hogar pues ella vive en unión libre y tiene dos hijos.

Cuando se le consulta qué le gusta de Pro Mujer, ella responde que le gusta las capacitaciones en salud y crédito y la atención al cliente.
