Joweria lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with four children, all of whom attend school. She is not looking after any additional family members.
She has been selling onions and tomatoes for five years, working six days a week. She does not have an additional source of income.
She has requested a loan of 800,000 UGX from MCDT- SACCO to enable her buy more bags of onions and tomatoes for selling. Her challenges include seasonality and transportation. Her dream is to expand her businesses, start growing these vegetables and build her own house. She joined MCDT because she wanted more money for her business. She stays in a rented house with access to electricity and no piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees.
