Grace lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with five children, all of whom attend school. She is not looking after any other family members. She has been selling second hand brassieres, night dresses and night pajamas at retail for three years, working six days a week. She does not have any other income.
She has requested a loan of UGX 1,000,000 from MCDT- SACCO to be able to buy more second hand brassieres, night dresses and night pajamas for sale. Her challenges include seasonality, ever increasing prices of used clothes and transportation. Her dream is to get a permanent business premise. She joined MCDT because of the low interest charged on loans. She stays in a rented house with access to electricity but no piped water. Her major monthly expenses include paying rent and school fees.
