Emmie, 34 and single, is a mother of four children. The youngest child is 6 months old and the older ones are 3, 5 and 13 years old. They stay with Emmie at home in the Sinkor community; only three of them are in school.
Emmie sells chicken and raw fish. She sells ten hours a day. She makes a profit when she sells because she always has cassava fish and bonnie fish to meet the demands of her customers. She has been in this business for the past sixteen years. She transports her goods by means of a commercial vehicle.
With the continued help from the lenders towards her business, Emmie is so grateful to them. Emmie learned to sell from her sister, starting with the small amount of $5000 LRD (five thousand Liberian dollars) that she received from that sister.
Emmie is requesting a loan to purchase more cartons of raw fish, bonnie fish, and chicken for the business. Her plan for the future is to become a big business woman.
