Karim is 37 years old and is married to a merchant named Bihounton. They have six children, all still under their care. Some of the children have been to school. Karim has not been to school. Karim lives together with his children and his wife. The couple takes care of the household expenses together.

For the past ten years, Karim has been in the business of agriculture. He procures his supplies in an area of Benin. He does this job with passion, and this allows him to meet his and his children's needs.

In the quest for customer satisfaction and to see his business funds increase, Karim is asking for a third loan from Alidé [so he can] cultivate corn, tomato, and peppers. This loan will help him better respond to the needs of his customers and to earn more profits. His previous loans have all been repaid.

Karim est âgé de 37 ans et est marié une marchande du nom de Bihounton. Le couple a six enfants, dont certains sont scolarisés et tous à leur charge. Karim n’a pas fréquenté l'école. Karim vit ensemble avec ses enfants et sa femme. Le couple assure ensemble les différentes charges de la maison. Il y a de cela dix sept ans que Karim exerce comme activité, l’agriculture. Karim exerce passionnément cette activité, ce qui lui permet de subvenir à ses besoins et à ceux de ses enfants. Karim s’approvisionne dans une région du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle et en vue d’augmenter son fonds de roulement, Karim sollicite un troisième crédit auprès de ALIDé, pour cultiver du maïs, de la tomate et du piment. Ce crédit lui servira à mieux répondre aux demandes de sa clientèle et à se faire plus de profits. Les crédits précédents ont été bien remboursés.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
