Doña Melania, reside en el departamento de Masaya. Con la edad de 65 años maneja su propio negocio, ya que es viuda y manifiesta que ha sacado a sus hijos adelantes. Gracias a su esfuerzo se siente satisfecha ya que sus hijos lograron alcanzar una profesión y también en sus ratos libres le ayudan al manejo de su negocio. Este consiste en la elaboración de deliciosa comida casera, conocida en la localidad como fritangas, ubicado en su casa de habitación, ella ofrece sus comidas en el mismo barrios a los vecinos y transeúntes.
Ella ha buscado la manera de sobresalir y se siente contenta porque siempre ha trabajado en lo que ella aprendió, como es el cocinar. Sus días más productivos son los fines de semana, es cuando tiene más demanda y tiene sus clientes fijos.
Se acerca a Ceprodel para solicitar un crédito para la compra de la materia prima para la elaboración de los alimentos de todo tipo. Ella comprará arroz, aceite, azúcar, salsa de tomate, carne para desmenuzar, molida, posta, lomo, pollo, frijoles, condimentos, entre otros.
