Louis, age 40, is married to a merchant named Odile. The couple have six children, some of whom go to school. In addition to their children, they have another child in their care. The family all live together, and Louis and his wife handle the various household responsibilities.

Louis did not attend school. He has been a farmer for 20 years. He is passionate about his activity, which allows him to support his family.

To expand his activity, Louis wants to buy inputs to grow maize, niébé (black-eyed peas) and peppers. He buys his supplies in a city of Benin.

To achieve customer satisfaction, he is seeking a sixth loan from ALIDé. This credit will help him to meet customer demand and to bolster his profits. All past loans were repaid without incident.

Il y a de cela vingt ans que Louis exerce comme activité, l’agriculture. Louis exerce cette activité passionnément, ce qui lui permet de subvenir à ses besoins et à ceux de ses enfants. Dans le but d'augmenter sa culture, Louis désire acheter des intrants pour cultiver du maïs, du niébé et du piment. Louis s’approvisionne dans une ville du Bénin. Dans la quête de la satisfaction de sa clientèle, Louis sollicite un sixième crédit auprès de ALIDé. Ce crédit lui servira à mieux répondre à la demande de sa clientèle et à se faire plus de profits. Les crédits précédents ont été bien remboursés.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
