Sineang is 30 years old and resides in Kampong Cham province, Tbaung Khmum district in Cambodia. She is married and has two dependent sons, both of whom are school-aged children. To offer a decent life for the family, Sineang and her husband farm rice, plant cassava, and work for others as paid workers. This couple is able to earn around 20,000 KHR daily. Now, Sineang is applying for a 500 USD loan with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner) for the first time. With this first-time requested loan, she will buy fertilizer and pay the cost of labor.
Via the help of this loan, Sineang expects a boost in her income as well as improvements in her family’s living standards. She will also use the income generated by the family’s business, rice-growing business and cassava-planting business to educate her sons so that they will have bright future.
