Saran is 34 years old. She is widowed and resides with three children in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been running a tailoring shop for more than two years, earning approximately $4 daily. In order to improve her family’s finances, Saran is requesting a loan of $400 to purchase rice to store and resell when the price is higher. By doing so, she will earn more income for the family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her children attend university. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her house to make it more comfortable for the family.
