Antoine lives in Les Cayes, the capital of the South Department of Haiti with his wife and child. He has had a business in the city for 3 years and is now looking to expand his business to sell clean energy products. He is really interested in selling kerosene stoves as many people in Les Cayes use charcoal stoves which are not only expensive, but cause pollution and are bad for their users’ health. He wants to sell clean energy products because they contribute to protecting the environment in Haiti. A loan through Kiva will enable him to jump-start his clean energy business.
