Fadia is a 34-year-old single woman living with her parents. She is from Lebanon.
Two years ago, she started her own business, which consists of selling perfumes, accessories, makeup and many other products. She works from home, independently, and sells her products in different areas and villages. In parallel, she works in a local school.
Today she is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase perfume bottles and diverse scents in addition to many other products in order to increase her sales and thus her revenues. She notes that the diversity in her merchandise production will attract the attention of customers, which will enlarge her sales and thus her profits. In the future, she plans to open her own store.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
