Hussein is 44 years old and a resident of Lebanon. He is married to Sabah, the mother of his five children, who are all attending school. Hussein supports his family with pleasure and is ready to help whenever they need it. He has an adorable family, for whom he’s ready to sacrifice his life.
Hussein has owned a van for the past six years. His job consists of transporting students to their schools. He works independently on a freelance basis. In parallel, he works as a farmer. Today, he’s in need of a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l to perform the necessary maintenance on his van. This loan will allow him to perform his job properly. The most important thing is transporting the students safely without facing any problems. Hussein has many ideas for the future to improve his business, and he’s planning to apply these ideas once he has the opportunity.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
