Rosa
Rosa, 60 years old, is an enterprising and hardworking woman. She is married and has four children with her husband, Amaro. She provides her family with everything they need and she is always ready to help them even though they are now adults. Rosa lives in her own house along with her husband and her three unmarried children.

She makes a living selling cosmetics, perfumes, and female beauty products. Each day she goes out to visit different friends, neighbors, and family members with the hope of selling a perfume, talcum powder, or body cream. Sometimes she also receives customers in her home, since she has a wide glass case where she displays her products for sale. Rosa has been selling cosmetics for nine years. She enjoys working independently without the pressure of working under another person. In addition to these sales, she hopes to begin selling juice and empanadas as well. Over the years in this business, she has learned a lot and developed some of her own sales techniques.

Rosa is very thankful for how well life has been going for her and knows that she must work hard in order to be successful. She hopes to maintain a stable clientele and to keep growing her business until she can establish her own cosmetics store with extensions to offer other products as well and increase her profits.

This is Rosa's seventh loan with MFP. She is very thankful for the opportunity this loan offers her as well as for the financial support that is necessary for her to get ahead. She pledges to make her monthly payments punctually and to continue working responsibly along with the other members of her communal bank. With the amount of the loan she's requesting (S/. 3000), Rosa will buy more merchandise for her store, such as perfumes and cosmetics, so that she may keep up her sales and expanding her clientele.
