“Los Portales” (The Portals) is a group of four, hardworking, cheerful, kind women. Each one of them carries out an economic activity to give their families a better quality of life. Miriam sells shoes, Silvia sells clothes, Maritza has a pharmacy and Ada Luz sells cosmetics. The group is located in a sugarcane growing region.

Ada Luz is 38-years-old and completed high-school. She’s married to Joel and they have a son. With help from her husband she opened a small pharmacy three months ago in the center of her community because she wanted to work to earn her own money and be able to help a little with household expenses. She says that despite being in business a short time she’s won over customers thanks to the good service and attention she gives to them. She’s very happy with her business and wants to gradually stock it more to provide better customer service. She will use the loan to buy a variety of medicines to stock her pharmacy.

Los Portales es un grupo integrado por 4 mujeres trabajadoras, alegres y amables cada una de ellas
desempeña una actividad economica con el propósito de dar a sus familias una mejor calidad de vida. Miriam se dedica a la venta calzado, Silvia venta de ropa, Maritza farmacia, Ada Luz venta de cosméticos, este grupo se encuentra ubicado en una región cañera.

Ada Luz tiene la edad de 38 años, estudio la preparatoria y esta casada con el señor Joel con el cual tiene un hijo, ella platica que hace tres meses con el apoyo de su esposo abrió una pequeña farmacia en el centro de su comunidad ya que quería trabajar para ganar su propio dinero poder ayudar un poco en los gastos de su hogar. Ella dice que a pesar de tener poco tiempo su negocio ha ganado clientes a base del buen servicio y atención que les brinda a sus clientes. Ella esta muy contenta con su negocio y quiere poco a poco ir surtiendo mas su negocio para brindar un mejor servicio a sus clientes. Ella invertirá este crédito en la
compra de variedad de medicamentos para resurtir su farmacia.
