Maxensia is a 24-year-old single mother of a child living in Kagadi, Uganda.
She is a teacher of primary school, and she was inspired to the teaching profession by her desire to associate with young people. She says that the meager salary she earns cannot meet the basic needs of her and her child, so her desire is to venture into farming after assessing its lucrative nature.
Maxensia intends to use the loan to buy land for farming.

This loan is part of HOFOKAM's program targeting poor and geographically excluded populations in Western Uganda.
