Mwanaidi is from Kenya. She’s 50 years old, married and has three adult children. She lives in a suburban area of Likoni in the municipality of Mombasa.
She started the business of preparing meals and, thanks to her efforts, she can meet her small expenses. She says that her children are working and she gets some contribution from them to boost her income.
She tells us that her scheduled day begins very early because she must go to the market to buy the products she’ll need to make the meals. The greatest difficulty she has is due to her cafe being so small, the space being too small to accommodate many customers at one go. She will use the loan to buy ingredients like basic grains, flour, sugar, food flavorings, etc.
