Daysi Marlene
Daysi is 38 years old and works as a domestic cleaner to support her two children who depend entirely on her hard work. She is a single mother and does not get any other financial support to bring up her children. Daysi is very responsible, and that is why she has been working in the same house for several years as her boss trusts her a lot.

She is requesting a loan from INTEGRAL to be able to improve the condition of her home and to be able to build another room so that they can have more space and feel more confortable and safer as a family. Since her house is a basic structure, it is very fragile and not very resistant to changes in weather. With the loan, she will also be able to reinforce the roof and walls of her house.

About Apoyo Integral

Apoyo Integral (Apoyo) is a nonprofit organization offering financial products that enable clients to increase their working capital, purchase fixed assets, buy and remodel homes, expand agricultural business and more. The organization’s target group is businessmen and women who have already established their businesses but need financial support to strengthen or expand them.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
