Digna's story

Digna, 39, is an enterprising woman who very much wants to get ahead. She’s married to Rubén and they have three children together who are 24, 21, and 11 years of age respectively; she lives with her entire family in a house of her own. Digna’s work consists in selling at retail basic staple items among which are rice, sugar, milk, bread, eggs, oil, vegetables and more. She has this business located at home and she tends to it full-time, every day. She’s been in this line of work for just a year. At the beginning, she had her husband’s help but now she herself tends to her customers full-time. She complements her store with the sale of clothing, shoes and cosmetics.

What she likes about her work is that she has time to do other occasional chores especially her household chores. Fortunately, she does very well because they always have customer due to the variety of products she stocks and also because hers is the only grocery store in the neighborhood so she expects to be able to continue surging forward and to make her business grow too.

This is MFP loan #20 and she thanks all those who provide her with the opportunity of accessing this loan that insures her being able to stay in business. On the other hand, she commits once again to make her payments punctually because she does not want to leave a negative impression with her fellow group members who have been noted for the punctuality and responsibility of their payments. She will use the requested 1,300 soles to buy stock merchandise like snacks, rice, sugar, bread, eggs, milk, oil, vegetables and others for her store.
