Emardin is a very responsible, hardworking person who would like to improve her quality of life and that of her family in order to triumph in life. She is 46 years old, is widowed, and lives with her six children in the rural area of Samburu, Kinango district.
Emardin works along with her children in agriculture. They grow a variety of crops like sugarcane, bananas, and vegetables, and also keep livestock. They also need to invest in the purchase of seeds, pesticides, and fertilizers.
She dreams of having a ready market for her produce and of improving the quality of life of her children.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
