N’TO is 45 years old and lives with his seven children and his wives in DIENFING in the sub-prefecture of OUELESSEBOUGOU, Region of KOULIKORO. N’TO did not have the chance to go to school. Early on, he became interested in revenue-generating businesses, especially in the buying, storing, and selling of grains. He learned about this business from his maternal uncle, who used to be a major grains merchant in his time.

Concerned about satisfying his clearly growing customer base, he decided to collaborate with the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso. After having correctly repaid the fifth loan, he is now on his sixth individual loan, which will be used to purchase 3 tonnes of grains (corn, beans, millet, 'fonio') from peasant producers in and around DIENFING. He will keep the grains for at least three months. He makes his sales to a customer base composed of retailers from big cities, such as Bamako, OUELESSEBOUGOU.

N’TO hopes to make an average monthly profit of 125,000 francs CFA will be used for repaying the loan and reinvesting the rest in business.
