Forty-year-old Isaac is married and has 4 children who are all in school. He works in agriculture, especially coffee-growing, to meet his family's needs as well as those of his aged parents. Coffee is a major cash crop in the area he lives. Through coffee, his father got money to educate him and his siblings, and through the same coffee, he is educating his children and has bought a small piece of land to expand his coffee plantation. He sells his coffee to processors because it is still in small quantities but his dream is to be able to process it himself at the local factory and transport it to the city. The main challenges are price fluctuations and the constant rains which do not give the coffee an opportunity to dry properly since Isaac solely depends on sunshine. High transport costs to the factory also encroach on his profits, leaving him with barely enough income to meet his costs.
