Teresita is a 47-year old married woman with 7 children living in Tinacla-an, Clarin. In order to increase her family's income, she entered into a buying and selling business which she started 8 years ago. She usually gets 5,000 PHP per month. With the help of GDMPC microcredit, Teresita will be able to buy products to sell with the 8,000 PHP loan rendered to her. She joined GDMPC in 2011. Someday, she’s hoping for much greater revenue that she will use to expand her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
