Ms. Rokhaya is a divorced woman who lives in Senegal. For a year, she has been working in commerce selling fabrics and clothing. Thanks to the revenues her business brings in, she manages to cover the food and transport costs for her family. She is requesting a loan of 200,000 francs to purchase fabrics and clothing for bolstering her inventory. Her wish is to increase her profits to be able to save more money.
Madame Rokhaya est une femme divorcée qui vit au Sénégal. Elle évolue depuis 1 an dans le secteur du commerce et pratique la vente de de tissus et d’habits. Grâce aux revenus que lui procure son activité elle parvient a prendre en charge la nourriture et le transport de sa famille. Elle sollicite un crédit de 200 000 frs prévu pour l’achat de tissus et d’habits destinés a renforcer son stock. Son vœu est d’accroitre ses bénéfices afin de pouvoir épargner davantage.
This loan is administered by UIMCEC, a Kiva Field Partner in Senegal since 2008. UIMCEC is a government-regulated microfinance institution whose mission is to improve the revenue and well-being of families through access to financial services, allowing principally women and young adult micro-entrepreneurs living in rural and semi-rural areas to develop their revenue-generating businesses and supporting them in becoming financially self-sufficient.
