Nikoloz
Nikoloz is from the Kareli district. He is 47 years old and lives with his wife and four children. Three of his children attend the local school and his eldest son helps the family in agricultural activities. According to government estimations, the family belongs to the category of vulnerable poor and they receive monthly social assistance.

They own a plot of land where they grow onions, potatoes, haricots and sweet cherries. He does all the relevant agricultural work to ensure a good quality of harvest. The harvested products are sold locally. In addition, Nikoloz is involved in an animal husbandry business and has two oxen and a milk cow. The family produces cheese from the cow’s milk and sells it at the local open market. Nikoloz is a very hard-working man with a great deal of experience in his chosen profession.

With this loan Nikoloz plans to purchase calves. He will raise them and sell the grown calves for a much higher price. This will bring additional income to the family. Nikoloz plans to reinvest a portion of the anticipated increased income in the family farm and he will be use the other portion to improve the family’s living conditions.
