A local farmer, originally from Sampov Meas district of Pursat province, Hun is a mother of a huge family consisting of 10 children. Currently, only four children still need her support as three of them are still in school and a remaining one is helping the family business.
She has struggled to survive her daily living through rice farming on two hectares of farmland. Hun just joined VisionFund (Kiva's partner) this cycle. She is seeking a 2,000,000 KHR in order to buy dishes, bowls, and pots for resale for extra income. She hopes that this purchase will help her to make extra income so as she can keep her three children in school.
About VisionFund Cambodia
VisionFund Cambodia is a Christian organization and microfinance institution that provides small loans and other financial services to improve the lives of children, empower poor women and their families, and grow successful businesses. The organization works primarily in rural parts of Cambodia and has distinguished itself by targeting the very poor who require smaller loan sizes, regardless of religious beliefs, gender or ethnic background.
Kiva lenders’ funds will help the organization to expand into the northeastern provinces of the country, which have historically been underserved and difficult to reach with financial services.
