A citizen from a rural village of Banteay Meanchey province’s Mongkul Borey district, Sangao is 62 years old and married with two children. To make a living, Sangao and her husband have been farming rice on one hectare of farmland. This has been their primary business for two years. Sangao also raises chickens in a local area to earn extra income.
Sangao is in her first microloan with VisionFund. She is applying for a loan of 3,000,000 KHR. She wants to use her loan to buy feed for her chickens and use a portion of the loan to buy household supplies for her family. Through this loan, she hopes to fatten her chickens so che can sell them for a good price in order to make a better living.
