Crisby is 39 years old and lives in Carmen, Jimenez, Misamis Occidental. He is married and has three children but unfortunately is now separated from his wife. Crisby is engaged in cutting and selling lumber, and he earns approximately PHP3,000 each month from his work. He has requested a loan to be used in paying for logs and lumber, and for labor and other expenses involved in cutting lumber for his existing business.
Crisby joined PMPC just this year. In the future, Crisby hopes to expand his business.
About Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative
Paglaum Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PMPC) was founded in 1992 by the beneficiaries, parents and staff of the Paglaum Community Development Foundation to address economic and livelihood activities for sustainability. The organization operates in the northwestern provinces of Mindanao and Visayas.
In the local vernacular, “paglaum” means “hope.” The initial foundation is dedicated to child development through a holistic approach. The goal is to build self-reliance and expand opportunity so the poorest of the poor can help themselves.
