Aljack, a 34-year-old, is a married entrepreneur in San Vicente, Bajo, Oroquieta. She has 2 children and is earning from her transport service business. It was started almost 2 years ago and she earns about 6,000 PHP a month.
To improve her business, she is borrowing the amount of 15,000 PHP from GDMPC micro-credit, which she just joined in 2011, to obtain accessories and tires. Before long, she’s hopeful of the possibility of expanding her business.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
