Augustine
Augustine is 33 years old and lives in the town of Ntungamo, in the Mbarara region of Uganda. He is married and has 4 children, 3 of whom are currently in school. For the past 13 years, Augustine has been working hard to manage his bar, which sells alcohol and soft drinks.

To help expand his business, Augustine has requested a loan of 3,000,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more items like lemonade and beer for his bar, helping Augustine to generate greater profits, which he will use to send his children to school. Augustine hopes that in the future he will be able to add to the business.

Augustine is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Augustine who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
