Mariam is a single lady who lives in the town of Msambweni. She is 47 years old, energetic, and hardworking who despite being single, has the urge to develop herself. Last year, she decided to have a small grocery store in the neighborhood. She currently has obtained a little experience to keep her going.
Mariam is asking for her first loan to expand her business premise and add stock of flour and basic grains.
She is a woman who is very dedicated to her work; she’s responsible and very enthusiastic about getting ahead. She’s always on the lookout for new opportunities that will open doors to success. She’s not willing to give up because she knows she’ll be able to attain a more prosperous future this way.
She promises to be punctual in repaying her loan so that she is able to ask for more loans and improve her living standards.

This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
