Nilda is 55 years old and has six children, of whom only one lives with her and her husband. Nilda has a small grocery store in her own home. In the store, she shares the work with her daughter, who helps her in the mornings. Nilda looks after the store in the afternoons, after returning from her other job with the municipal government of her district.
The store allows her to have income for meeting some of her family's expenses and helping her husband. With the loan she has applied for, she will buy grocery products such as rice, sugar, noodles and pulses. With this investment, she hopes to improve her store and have more customers, so that she can increase her income.

Nilda tiene una bodega que está en su misma casa, en el negocio comparte labores con su hija que la ayuda durante las mañanas. Nilda se encarga de la bodega por las tardes después de volver de su otro trabajo en la municipalidad de su distrito, la bodega le permite ingresos para solventar algunos gastos de su familia y apoyar a su esposo, con el préstamo que ha solicitado comprara productos de abarrotes como arroz, azúcar, fideos y menestras. Con esta inversión espera mejorar su negocio y tener mas clientela para aumentar sus ingresos.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
