This group of enterprising women is named “Las Luchadoras” (The Fighters). The group started in August 2011 and now has 12 members who are in their fifth loan cycle. This committee demonstrates great solidarity, a spirit of responsibility, and most of all, responsibility.

One story that stands out is that of Sra. Felicita. She is a single mother of two grown children. Felicita has been knitting for more than 40 years. She currently lives alone, so she is grateful for the opportunity she has received as part of this group.

Felicita is requesting a loan in order to buy thread, embroidery frames, and other supplies so that she can continue working.

Este grupo de Mujeres Emprendedoras que lleva el nombre de Las Luchadoras tuvo sus inicios en agosto del 2011 hoy cuenta con 12 integrantes se encuentran en el 5to. ciclo del programa. En este comité hay mucha solidaridad, ayuda mutua, y por sobre todo la responsabilidad.
Una de las historias que se destaca es el de la señora Felicita, madre soltera de 2 hijos mayores, tejedora desde hace más de 40 años, actualmente vive sola y agradece por la oportunidad que recibe de formar parte del grupo.

In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
