Flomina is a resident of Mombasa area of the Coast province, Kenya. She is married and has one child. Flomina owns a retail shop, a business that she has been running for ten years. Flomina began the business from a loan she obtained from a friend. In this shop, she sells baskets, mats, brooms etc.
She learnt about Milango from other clients and joined the institution with an aim of accessing credit to improve the operations of her business. Her main challenge is price fluctuations.
Flomina is applying for a loan of 21,050 Kenya shillings to purchase papyrus for making baskets, mats, brooms etc to sell. The extra income from the loan will be added to her savings to improve on the living standards. She aspires to own other centers and plan for her child’s education with much security.
