Mahdiya is a conservative person who prefers not to have her photo published online, so her husband appears in her Kiva profile photo, pictured in the grocery store he has.
Mahdiya is 41 years old and has two sons and two daughters, 12 to 18 years old, and all in school.
For the past three years, Mahdiya's husband has had a store selling different types of groceries. It has been a profitable project and the only source of income to the family, but also it needs more support to cover some of the costs.
Mahdiya is requesting a USD loan from FATEN to help her husband cover the costs of purchasing needed stocks of basic groceries that customers often request such as rice, canned and frozen food and dairy products. This will increase sales and increase the family's income and ensure better living conditions.
