Thoen has been engaged in rice farming and planting oranges as the primary sources of her income. From the current business, which she has been in for 10 years, she can earn about KHR 21,000 per day, and she manages to save about KHR 10,000 each day after daily expenses.

Thoen's group consists of three female members. She has been with VisionFund for four cycles and completely paid back the past loans, which have helped her to support her family’s living conditions as well as expand her current business.

Now, she and her group member are seeking a new loan. She will use her loan portion to buy seeds and fertilizer for her plantation.

Thoern hopes to gain more income so as to make more income to improve her living condition and keep her children in school.
