Mwanalima has been involved in small retail business for the past seven years. She is 37 years old and married, and she has three school children.
She sells greens, fruits and vegetables. She currently works alone every day, but her elder child assists her over the weekends. Besides the income she makes from her business, she also receives contributions from her spouse.
She wants to stock her business with a variety of fruits, greens and vegetables like tomatoes, potatoes, kale and cabbages, among others. Mwanalima is requesting a loan of 50,000 KES.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
