Bendu, 45, lives at West Point with her husband and four children, who are between the ages of 7 and 23 and are currently in school. Bendu has been operating a cook shop (restaurant) for the past 15 years. She makes profit when she sells because she always prepares her customers' favorite dishes. She sells six days a week. She prepares fufu [starchy dumpling made from cassava, yam, plantain or rice] with soup, cassava leaves and potato grains to meet her customers' demands.
Bendu is requesting a loan to purchase more ingredients for the business. Her plan for the future is to build a house.
