Qendrim is 27 years old and married. He lives in a southern part of Kosovo. For more than eleven years he has worked as a mobile food seller in his area. During the summer he sells ice cream and in the colder season he sells chestnuts. Qendrim is a very hardworking person. He starts work early in the morning and does not finish until late in the evening.
Currently he buys chestnuts wholesale and then he bakes them in his shelf and sells them for 50 cents per packet, which makes a lot of profit for him. He is asking for a loan of EU 600 in order to buy chestnuts at wholesale. The loan will help him increase his profit. As he said his profit is more than 50%. It is a very profitable business because he doesn’t need much equipment or have many overhead charges. He hopes in the future to expand his business and to start selling in different cities of Kosovo. Knowing that this is Kiva loan, he is very appreciative of all Kiva lenders!
