Luc, 45, is married and has two children. He lives with his family in Ho Chi Minh City. He and his wife started a general store ten years ago, selling instant foods such as noodles and fried potatoes, and households items for people in his community. Luc is requesting a loan to expand his business by buying a greater variety of products to sell in his store and to better satisfy his customers. He hopes his business runs smoothly and will generate a higher income to assist him in improving his family's living conditions.

Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP) is a non-profit Vietnamese microfinance institution that operates in the provinces of southeastern Vietnam and the Mekong Delta.
