Mrs. Kayi S. is 38 years old and married. She lives and works in Kpalimé, one of the largest cities in Togo. To provide for her family’s needs, she buys and sells napkins and other kitchen products. There are many such products and they are in constant demand. As the photo shows, she currently lacks the resources to operate her business, so is selling tomatoes (which are seasonal) at the market. Kayi hopes to use this loan to restart her business of buying large plates and different sized saucepans. With the profit she will make from her business, she will improve her living conditions.
