Mwanasiti lives in a house she owns in the town of Msambweni. She is married to Bakari, a businessman. They are blessed with two young children. To help her husband with the household expenses Mwanasiti decided to start a coconut selling business. She sells wholesale to the neighboring county. It has been a profitable business and has given her good results and sales experience for two years. Currently, she has received orders from her regular customers and she does not want to disappoint them. She wants to buy a stock of coconuts for selling.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
