Salama is 40 years old and lives with her life partner and six school-aged children. She is a responsible and hardworking mother who works long days. She has one great dream of providing her family with the necessities of life. Salama makes a living selling clothes. She sells her products by going door-to-door in various neighborhoods. To make the most of her week, she visits a different neighborhood each day to gain more customers.
Salama is requesting a loan from Yehu that will allow her to buy a bigger variety of clothing and styles so that she will be able to fill the orders of her customers.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
