Felecitas, a 63-year-old woman from Campo 1, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur., is a widow with two children.
To earn a living, Felecitas runs a general store. She has been in her business for 12 years and earns 4,600 PHP per month.
Felecitas requests a loan of 10,000 PHP to purchase new items so that she can expand her product offerings. In 2008, Felecitas joined GDMPC.
She plans to save additional revenue generated from the loan as a reserve for future emergencies.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services.
