Miguel Palax Tuiz
Miguel is a 59 year old farmer. He is married and lives in Sololá along with his wife. He has 7 children, 4 of whom are males and 3 are women who are married and work independently but always help with the family's economics.
He works in agriculture, growing potatoes and carrots. He does this work a few meters from his home where he has a small plot of land.
He learned this work 20 years ago as he had to work as a farm laborer with other people and had to have his own capital to be able to have is own crop.
At this season in his community, he grows carrots because the climate is a little cold. He sees the need to increase his crop so his is requesting a loan of $400 to buy carrot seeds and fertilizer to grow on another parcel of land so that, at harvest, he will have good produce and better profits for his family.
His greatest dream is to have a better home for his family, having a good harvest and good profits.

Miguel es un hombre agricultor de 59 años de edad, el esta soltero y vive en Sololá junto a su esposa. El tiene siete hijos de los cuales cuatro son varones y tres mujeres que están casados y trabajan independientemente pero siempre apoyan la economía de su familia.
El se de dedica a la agricultura cultivando papa y zanahoria esto lo realiza a pocos metros de su vivienda donde tiene con una pequeña parcela.
El aprendió este trabajo hace 20 años por que el tuvo que trabajar la agricultura con personas ajenas y poder tener su capital para realizar su propio cultivo.
Por la temporada del año en su comunidad se cultiva la zanahoria por que el clima es un poco frio de este modo el ve la necesidad de ampliar su cultivo de este modo solicita un préstamo de Q 3,000.00 para comprar semillas de zanahoria y fertilizante para ser cultivado en otra parcela para cuando el coseche pueda tener buen producto y mejores ganancias para su familia.
Su mayor sueño es tener una mejor vivienda para su familia teniendo buena cosecha y buena ganancia.
