Jeniffer lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with four children, and all of them attend school. She is not looking after any other family members.
Jeniffer has been selling charcoal and nets from home at retail for the last two years, working six and a half days a week. She has rental houses to earn additional income. She has requested for a loan of 600,000 UGX from MCDT- SACCO to enable her to stock more sacks of charcoal and nets to sell. Her challenges include seasonality. Her dream is to expand her businesses and accumulate profits that will enable her acquire land.
Jeniffer joined MCDT because there is no relative who can lend her money like MCDT does. She rents a house without access to electricity or piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees and rent.
