Base is a 49-year-old woman who lives with her 60-year-old husband (in the photo) and 22-year-old son in Masis village of Ararat region. Agriculture provides the sole income for this family. They breed cattle and grow nut, plum and apricot trees. With the requested loan, Base is going to purchase barley seeds and fertilizer for autumn sowing, and grass for feeding the livestock during winter. Base hopes to gather a good harvest of barley next year and earn sufficient income from its sales to cover her family’s daily costs and secure its livelihood.
